No. You may stay in the apartment or leave during the process. We only require access to the kitchen, water, and electricity. If you are not present, we can also send short videos or photos during the process, so you can feel confident that everything is being done properly.

Usually, no. If a waiting period is required before using certain appliances, we will explain this clearly. In general, it is best to allow the oven and stovetop areas to cool completely after the kashering process is finished.
