Chayim Ashkenazi
Founder of KasherMyBnB
Experienced hospitality professional specializing in kosher vacation stays, recognized for attentive service, operational precision, and creating a welcoming, seamless guest experience in Jerusalem.
Community Leadership & Background
Chayim Ashkenazi brings over a decade of professional experience serving Jewish communities. His work began in Turkey, where for more than ten years he was actively involved in Jewish education and communal engagement, serving as a counselor and event organizer. During this time, he played a key role in organizing Shabbatons, educational seminars, and summer camps, contributing to meaningful and lasting community experiences.
Torah Studies & Professional Hospitality
After completing his engineering studies, Chayim moved to Israel to deepen his Torah education at Yeshivat Ohr Sameach. In 2014, he made Aliyah and continued his studies at the Emek Learning Center and Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies, while simultaneously building a professional career in vacation rental property management. Rooted in Torah values and hands-on hospitality experience, he developed a deep understanding of the practical needs of kosher travelers visiting Jerusalem, laying the foundation for his next venture.
Founding KasherMyBnB
Recognizing the growing demand for kosher kitchens in Jerusalem’s vacation rentals, Chayim founded KasherMyBnB in 2019. The company provides professional kashering services for Airbnb and short-term vacation rentals across Jerusalem, including Pesach preparation and year-round kosher readiness. The service also supports Jerusalem residents with kashering for Pesach and for new move-ins, allowing both guests and locals to use their kitchens with full confidence and peace of mind.
Mashgiach Experience & Industrial Standards
In 2023, Chayim expanded his professional kosher expertise by serving as a Mashgiach for food production factories, working under respected kosher certification authorities such as Harav Landa, Harav Machpud, and Badatz Igud Rabbonim of Manchester. This experience strengthened his hands-on knowledge of industrial kosher supervision, factory kashering, and commercial kitchen standards, further enhancing the professional level of KasherMyBnB’s services.
Concierge for the Kosher Traveler
Beyond kashering, KasherMyBnB offers concierge services for kosher vacations, ensuring that essential items and proper kitchen and BnB setup are ready before arrival. Services may include Shabbat and Havdalah kits, along with other essentials tailored to the needs of religious travelers. With a guest-focused approach and careful attention to detail, Chayim Ashkenazi helps create a smooth, fully kosher vacation experience, allowing families to focus on meaningful time together in Jerusalem.
